Building permit obtained for 2026 Winter Olympic Village

The “Porta Romana” real estate investment fund – promoted and managed by COIMA SGR and subscribed by Covivio, Prada Holding and the COIMA ESG City Impact fund – announces that it has obtained the Building Permit from the Municipality of Milan, together with the building and urban planning agreements, relating to the Olympic Village for the 2026 Winter Olympics, following the request presented in October 2021.

The Fund signed the tender contract for the construction of the work with a group of companies, made up of Impresa CEV SpA, Grassi e Crespi Srl and Milani Impianti S.p.A..

With this assignment, after the start of the reclamation and excavations, the work has already achieved three of the objectives set out in the time schedule four months in advance, with the aim of delivering the Olympic Village to the Milano Cortina Foundation by the set deadline of July 2025: construction works will start in January 2023, while the excavation and bulkhead works will be completed within the month of February.

The project therefore continues in full compliance with the timescales set out in the Program Agreement and in virtuous collaboration with the Lombardy Region, the Municipality of Milan, the Milano Cortina Foundation, the Ministry of Sport and the FS Italiane Group.
