Thursday 7 March marked the arrival on the roof of the 6 buildings that make up the Olympic Village: the first piece of the larger urban regeneration project of the Scalo di Porta Romana.
The flag raising ceremony was attended by Manfredi Catella, founder and CEO of COIMA SGR, and for the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation Valentina Marchei, Olympic athlete and Head of Ambassador Programme, Antonio Rossi, Olympic Champion and City Operations Manager and Andrea Macrì Paralympic athlete and Paralympic Games Coordinator.
At the end of the event, the Olympic Village will become the largest student residence in Italy, and will host approximately 1,700 students.
